What is Weai?

Weai is a hosted WhatsApp API. You link a phone to an instance and it answers on your own subdomain ({name}.eai.menustudioai.com) with REST endpoints for messages, media, groups and presence, plus realtime events over Socket.IO.

Do I need the WhatsApp Business API or Meta approval?

No. Your own phone is the gateway: you link it from WhatsApp → Linked devices, with a QR code or a pairing code. There is no Meta application process. Weai is independent and not affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta.

How much does Weai cost?

7.00 € per instance per month for one instance, 6.00 € per instance in a pack of 10 and 5.50 € per instance in a pack of 25. Isolated instances with dedicated resources are a 12.00 €/month add-on. VAT included, billed monthly through Stripe.

How long does setup take?

About a minute: create an account, pick a subdomain, link your phone, then call POST /message/sendText with your instance token.

How do I receive incoming messages?

Connect a Socket.IO v4 client to wss://{name}.eai.menustudioai.com with your instance token as the apikey query parameter. Events such as messages.upsert and connection.update stream live, so no polling is needed.

Can my WhatsApp number get banned?

It can. Weai connects through an unofficial method, and WhatsApp may restrict numbers that send spam or unsolicited messages. Only message people who have agreed to hear from you and follow the Acceptable use policy.

Can I cancel or get a refund?

You can cancel anytime. Payments are not refunded; when you change plan, the unused balance is prorated as credit towards your next billing date.

Where is my data stored?

On servers in the European Union (Finland), under the GDPR. Weai does not store message bodies in its own database, and card data is handled only by Stripe.
